Techniques to face examination

How to Prepare for Examination

Meditation - at least 10 Minutes every day

Meditation will increase your concentration and ability to remember. Keeping your mind black for few minutes will energize and make your mid fresh. Keep your mind blank for few minutes or remember the image of your favorite god. Don't allow your mind to think anything else.

Divide Time to study subjects

If you have to study 6 subjects and you have 20 days to study, divide the time equally. You may give one extra day to the tough subject, but do not reduce complete time for easy subject.

Write short notes while studying

Note down main points or write short note while studying. It will help you to remember the content.

Do revision after completion of studies

After completion of your syllabus, do revision for all subjects. Read the short note and summary of points prepared by you.

How to write Examination

Reach Examination Venue early

Do not rush to exam venue at last minute. Reach the place early.

Divide time proportionately for all the questions

First of all divide total time for all questions according to the type of question. e.g. if you have to write answer for 20 questions of 1 marks each, 8 questions of 5 marks each and 2 questions of 20 marks each and you have 3 hours to write the exam, divide total time like this.

Total Minutes 60 X 3 = 180

Time to Solve 20 question of 1 Mark Each -30 Minutes

Time to solve 8 Questions of 5 Marks each - 75 Minutes (9 Minute per Q)

Time to Solve 2 Questions of 20 Marks each - 75 Minutes (37 Min per Q)

Now your total time shared for all questions. Follow the time schedule strictly. If you get some extra time, it can be used to solve the tough question at the end. Not in between.

Do not spend more time for lengthy answer - Do it at the end

If you started doing a lengthy question and if it takes more time, leave it space to complete the question and do the next question. You complete the answer at the end after answering all other questions. If you continue with doing the lengthy question, you will not get time to answer all other questions.

Keep ethics in Examination hall and behave

In Exam hall, do not engage in discussing answers or passing answers to others. If you are in trouble or caught taking or giving help, you will be in trouble. None of your friends will come to help you. For them passing examination is more important than you. Further, it will divert your attention and your time will be spoiled.

Answer all Questions

If you do not know the answer of any specific question, don't leave it. At least attend the question and write whatever you know. You will get some mark for it.

Read your answer sheet at the end

If you have completed writing examination and few minutes left, utilize the extra time to read your answer sheet. Sometimes we omit something or commit mistake in writing answer, especially in practical papers.

After writing Examination

Do not worry about any mistake you committed while writing examination. It is already over and you cannot do any correction. So thinking and worrying about the mistake you committed or answer you omitted will not give you any result. Be Happy about whatever you wrote.
