How to Add vehicle alteration in the documents by filing application online with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and pay fees online
You can file Application online to include Vehicle alteration n the Document of Vehicle to RTO through the web portal of Vahan.parivahan.gov.in. Vehicle alteration documents related to Car, Bus, Two Wheeler, Truck, Tractor, Auto Rickshaw etc can be filed online to change necessary particulars in the Vehicle Registration Certificate. If you are not registered with the website, you can apply and upload documents online, after registering with the Web Portal. Steps to file Vehicle Alteration Application online
Step 1: Visit the Website of Vahan eservices Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
The following Menu will open
Step 2: Click on Login
The following Menu will Open
If you are not Registered with the website please register with the following Link.
Register with vahan.parivahan.gov.in
Step 3: Enter User ID, Password and Security Code showing on the Screen
Step 4: Click on Submit
Step 5: After Logon, Click on Online Services and Select Vehicle Related Services
Step 6: Enter Vehicle Registration Number, Chassis Number last 5 digit
Step 7: Click on Generate OTP
Now you will receive OTP on the registered Mobile Number
Step 8: Enter OTP and Click on Submit Button
The Following Menu will appear
Step 9: Click on Alteration of Motor Vehicle
The following Menu will open
Step 10: Fill Information and Click on Submit
Step 11: Click on Insurance Details under Service Details. Fill it and Click on Submit
Step 12: Click on DMS (Upload Docs) to upload documents
Press x button at the top when you are done.
Step 13: Click on Appointment under Service Details. Select date for which slot is available. Click on Book Now
Step 14: Click on Fee details under Service Details. Click on Make Payment, Submit and proceed to pay the required fee.
Step 15: Select Payment Gateway and Press Continue.
After making payment a receipt will be generated. Please take the printout of Receipt. Visit the RTO with receipt and other original documents on the appointment date. After submission/ verification of documents, your vehicle alteration details will be entered in the Records.
