Use this updated directory to reach official State and Union Territory police websites, the Government of India Digital Police and cybercrime portals, central police organisations, and selected international law-enforcement agencies.

FIR and electronic reporting under current law: Section 173 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 permits information relating to a cognizable offence to be given orally or by electronic communication, irrespective of the area where the offence occurred. Electronic information must be signed within three days in the manner provided by law. Availability of a particular online service still depends on the concerned police portal.

For a single Government of India gateway to State and Union Territory police citizen services, use the Digital Police portal. For cybercrime, including online financial fraud, use the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. The cyber financial fraud helpline is 1930.
