Deposit of amount due, on filing appeal and Transfer of certain applications to Tribunals are defined under section 7O and 7P of Employees Provident Funds Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952. Provisions under Section 7O and 7P of EPF Act 1952 are :
Section 7O of Employees Provident Funds Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 "Deposit of amount due, on filing appeal"
No appeal by the employer shall be entertained by a Tribunal unless he has deposited with it seventy-five per cent of the amount due from him as determined by an officer referred to in section 7A:
Provided that the Tribunal may, for reasons to be recorded in writing, waive or reduce the amount to be deposited under this section.
Section 7P of Employees Provident Funds Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952 "Transfer of certain applications to Tribunals"
All applications which are pending before the Central Government under section 19A, shall stand transferred to a Tribunal exercising jurisdiction in respect of establishments in relation to which such applications had been made as if such applications were appeals preferred to the Tribunal.
