Delhi Police PCC at a Glance
Always verify the amount and category displayed on the official portal before final payment, because government fees and service rules may change.
Which Police Clearance Certificate Should You Use?
A Delhi Police PCC and a Passport Seva PCC are not interchangeable in every situation. The Delhi Police portal provides police clearance/verification services for categories available in its application system, including emigration, employment and other listed purposes. The current portal also distinguishes between address-and-antecedents verification and antecedents-only verification.
For Passport Seva PCC, the official process is to register/login, choose "Apply for Police Clearance Certificate", complete the application, pay the applicable fee, schedule an appointment and visit the designated Passport Seva facility with originals.
How to Apply for Delhi Police PCC Online
- Open the official portal. Go to pcccvr.delhipolice.gov.in.
- Sign in or register as required. Use your active mobile number and email address because communications and application access depend on the details entered.
- Select "Apply New". Choose whether the application is being made as an Individual or by an Organization.
- Choose the mode of verification. The current user manual shows "Address and Antecedents Verification" (field verification) and "Antecedents Verification Only" (without field verification). The portal notes that address-and-antecedents verification is mandatory in certain cases, including NRI-related selection shown in the manual.
- Select the PCC type. Current listed examples include Emigration, Licensing, Employment/Employees of Private Firms, Directors/Board Members, Journalists/PIB, Commercial Vehicle/PSV registration, Miscellaneous and Adoption of Child.
- Complete Applicant Details. Enter the particulars required for the selected PCC category, including communication and identity-related information.
- Complete Address Details. Enter your current residential details accurately. Field verification may be conducted where applicable.
- Disclose Criminal Case Details. Answer all criminal-case related questions truthfully. Do not conceal pending or previous case information.
- Upload required documents. Upload the applicant photograph, photo identity proof, residential address proof and the relevant forwarding/requiring letter as prompted.
- Preview carefully before submission. Re-check spelling, identity details, address, selected PCC purpose and documents before final submission and payment.

Delhi Police PCC Fee
The current Delhi Police PCC user manual displays a fee of ₹350 against individual PCC categories such as Emigration, Licensing, Employment/Employees of Private Firms, Directors/Board Members, Journalists/PIB, Commercial Vehicle/PSV registration, Miscellaneous and Adoption of Child.
Because the portal has recently migrated and category-specific charges can be revised, treat the payment amount displayed inside the live official application as final. Bank/payment gateway charges, if any, may be additional.
Police Verification and Criminal Record Check
The current Delhi Police PCC system allows the applicant to select the applicable verification mode. Where field verification is required, the applicant should keep original identity/address documents available and cooperate with the enquiry/verification process.
Criminal-law references in India have changed since 1 July 2024: the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (BSA) replaced the IPC, CrPC and Indian Evidence Act respectively for the new legal framework, subject to statutory savings and transition provisions. These enactments do not themselves create the Delhi Police PCC application portal; they are relevant background when criminal-record or case information is considered.
How to Check PCC Status
Use the "View History" or status facility available after signing in to the current Delhi Police PCC/CVR portal. Applicants with applications made on the old portal should use the old-application verification/status option displayed on the migration page.
PCC / Verification for Schools
The former separate Delhi Police "PCC for Schools Only" portal also displays a migration notice directing users to the new PCC/CVR system. Schools and applicants should therefore use the current portal and select the appropriate organization/application category presented there instead of relying on old screenshots or the former registration page.
