Steps to Apply for Character Verification Report from Delhi Police
Step 1: Visit the website of Delhi Police http://www.delhipolice.nic.in/index.html
The following Menu will open
Step 2: Click on Citizen Services
Step 3: Click on Click on Character Verification Report
The Following page will open
Step 4: Click on Register
Step 5: Fill Email ID
Step 6: Click on Send me Verification Code
You will receive PCC Validation code in your email ID
Step 7: Enter Validation Code
Step 8: Click on Submit
Now a new webpage will open "New User Register Here"
Step 9: Select Individual or Organization
Step 10: Fill Password and Confirm Password
Step 11: Enter your mobile No
Step 12: Enter security code showing on the screen
Step 13: Click on Signup
Now a Login Page will open
Step 14: Fill the information asked for
Step 15: Check your data. If it is correct click on "Submit / Pay online"
Step 16: If you want to add another application, click on add new button
Step 17: Attach Photograph in JPEG Format (Maximum Size 20KB)
Step 18: You will get a unique CVR Number for each application

How the Character Certificate is given?
An electronically singed and stamped "CHARACTER VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE" will be sent on the registered organization's e-mail address after checking of police record and verifying of details within 21 days.
What is CVR Number?
The "CHARACTER VERIFICATION CERTIFICATE" bears a unique CVR number (CVR No.) about the information applied. This CVR No. can be used for future download and retrieval of a copy of the report.
