How to Add Hypothecation agreement and documents with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and pay fees online

You can file Vehicle Hypothecation documents online to RTO through the web portal of Vahan.parivahan.gov.in. Vehicle loan documents related to Car, Bus, Two Wheeler, Truck, Tractor, Auto Rickshaw etc can be filed online. If you are not registered with the website, you can apply and upload documents online, after registering with the Web Portal. Steps to file Vehicle Hypothecation Documents online

Step 1: Visit the Website of Vahan eservices Ministry of Road Transport and Highways

The following Menu will open

Vahan.Parivahan.gov.in Home Page

Step 2: Click on Login

The following Menu will Open

If you are not Registered with the website please register with the following Link.

Register with vahan.parivahan.gov.in

Step 3: Enter User ID, Password and Security Code showing on the Screen

Step 4: Click on Submit

Step 5: After Logon, Click on Online Services and Select Vehicle Related Services

Step 6: Enter Vehicle Registration Number, Chassis Number last 5 digit

Step 7: Click on Generate OTP

Now you will receive OTP on the registered Mobile Number

Step 8: Enter OTP and Click on Submit Button

The Following Menu will appear

Step 9: Click on Hypothecation Addition and Submit

Step 10: Click on Hypothecation Addition under Service Details

Step 11: Fill Information and Click on Submit

Step 12: Click on Insurance Details under Service Details. Fill it and Click on Submit

Step 13: Click on DMS (Upload Docs) to upload documents

Press x button at the top when you are done.

Step 14: Click on Appointment under Service Details. Select date for which slot is available. Click on Book Now

Step 15: Click on Fee details under Service Details. Click on Make Payment, Submit and proceed to pay the required fee.

Step 16: Select Payment Gateway and Press Continue.

After making payment a receipt will be generated. Please take the printout of Receipt. Visit the RTO with receipt and other original documents on the appointment date. After submission/ verification of documents, your Hypothecation Document details will be entered in the Records.
